Scarlet Smith

Canyon Springs High School Choir Director

Scarlet Smith received her Bachelors of Music in Music Education from the University of Redlands. She also obtained her single subject K-12 music teaching credential from the University of Redlands, School of Education. She spent a semester studying abroad at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria.

 

Mrs. Smith's has been the Choral Director at Canyon Springs High School since the 2015-2016 school year. Her choirs have performed across Southern California and choir members have participated in the Cal State Los Angeles Honor Choir. She is an active member of the Southern California Vocal Association,  American Choral Directors Association and National Association for Music Education. She is also a member of the San Bernardino & Riverside County alumni chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota. She has performed in Ensemble XXI and the Riverside Master Chorale. She has also guest directed the choir of the Moreno Valley United Methodist Church. Scarlet resides in Riverside with her husband Joey, her golden retriever Libby and her basset hound Elly May.
